A medium size, medium weight axe for all-round bush and hunting work. It has a hand forged Swedish steel head fixed with a wood and metal wedge in the American hickory linseed oil treated handle. Hultafors forging tradition dates back to the late 1600's. This axe is named for Gunnar Ekelund, the squire who initiated axe production at a larger scale in Hults Bruk in the 1870's. The axe comes with classic leather sheath and is packaged in its own box with sleeve.
